Loxton Carp Jackpot Jamboree

Terms and Conditions
ORGANISERS:
The event is organised by The Rotary Club of Loxton together with community assistance from Loxton Apex Club and District Council of Loxton Waikerie.
REGISTRATIONS AND ATTENDANCE:
• Participants must register online for the event via Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com.au
• Eventbrite will issue an online numbered ticket which will include a SA Major Lottery licence number.
• Minors require parental consent for participation in the lottery. Parents are responsible for their children and minors in their care.
• Registration is non-transferable.
• The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to the event or cancel the registration of any participant at their discretion and without liability.
PAYMENT AND REFUNDS:
• Payment for the event must be made on application for registration with Eventbrite. The full fees are:
o $20.00 for Adults, and
o $10.00 for Children under 12 years of age
• Refunds - The organisers reserve the right to cancel the event and to provide a refund. Refunds are not payable in any other circumstances.
EVENT CONTENT AND SCHEDULE:
• The organisers reserve the right to reschedule the event and/or to make changes to the event program without prior notice.
• Participants are advised that the event program may be subject to change at short notice and are encouraged to check the event website at https://jackpotjamboree.org.au regularly for updates.
• The organisers reserve the right to vary these Terms and Conditions at any time and without prior notice to any party and, upon payment of the entry fee set out above, participants agree to be bound by any such variation.
DISPUTES:
• In the case of any dispute, a decision by the organisers’ duly appointed representative will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
PRIZES:
All registered participants are automatically eligible to win in the prize draw, with the third prize being drawn first, then the second and then the first. Prizes are as follows:
• First Prize - $3,000.00,
• Second Prize - $2,000.00, and
• Third Prize - $1,000.00.
o Participants will receive an additional ticket to go into the prize draw, for each carp they catch and hand in to marshals at designated collection points along the river.
o The First Prize winner will automatically go into the draw for a 1 in 50 chance to win the $10,000.00 Jackpot, which will be drawn last.
If the 1st prize winner is not present in person to make the draw themselves, then an organiser’s representative will make the draw on their behalf.
Other prizes include:
• Early Bird Prize - $100.00 (for registrations before 31st of May 2024 )
• Junior Prize - $100.00 and a sponsor’s prize (for children under 12).
DRAW LOCATION & NOTIFICATION:
• All prize draws will take place at Apex Park, the event venue, at 3pm on Saturday, 5th of October 2024.
• Conditions of registration, ticketing and prize draws are compliant with South Australian Gaming Laws regulated and overseen by the Office of Consumer and Business Services and underwritten by 100% Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s of London, via cover holder Altamont Contingency Underwriting.
• All winners to be notified by 9th of October 2024 but not later than 7 days after the prize draw.
• Results will be published in the Murray Pioneer and Advertiser newspapers on 9th of October 2024.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
• All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and ethical manner at all times during the event.
• Harassment, discrimination or any other form of inappropriate behaviour by a participant may result in the immediate cancellation of his or her registration and removal from the event without entitlement to refund.
LIABILITY:
• Event participants and their invitees and all other attendees participate at their own risk.
• The organisers are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to private property sustained during the event. Upon payment of the entry fee set out above, participants agree to indemnify the organisers against any claim, suit or legal proceeding arising out of any occurrence during the event other than an occurrence caused by negligence or misconduct on the part of the organisers or their servants or agents.
MEDIA CONSENT:
• By attending the event, participants consent to being photographed, filmed or recorded for promotional and archival purposes by the organisers or at their instigation.
PRIVACY POLICY:
• The organisers undertake to treat and keep secure participants’ personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations.
GOVERNING LAW:
• These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Australia.

By registering for and attending the event, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
